Believe or not, I was extremely overweight when I was younger. At age 12 I started karate and my competitive bug came out inside when a friend of mine started doing tournaments. Through my passion to better myself and win tournaments, I started training and exercising more, and that evolved into me being a student of the game as well as seeking to understand HOW our bodies work so I can get the most out of mine. Long story short, fast forward a few year and now I have a Masters in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition and am also a member of the USA National Karate Team for -147lbs and get to travel all over the world to fight against the athletes. I have won the USA Nationals over 10 times, medaled all over the world and am even the last American to medal at the world championships. Now as I teach, compete and train, I am glad to have the chance to work with some of you guys through the Kurbo system and hopefully help make positive changes in your lives as I was able to make in mine!
