Air fryers were a popular gift over the holidays so we wanted to get you started with our favorite air fryer recipes. What’s great about an air fryer is you don’t have to add any oil to achieve that crispy outer layer on meats and veggies so you can enjoy your favorite comfort foods without the added reds.

Pork Chop with Green Beans

Serves 1

1 open palm of pork = 1 yellow light

1 closed fist of green beans = 1 green light

8 oz bone-in center-cut pork chop

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon fresh black pepper

6 oz green beans, rinsed and trimmed

Season the pork chop and green beans with salt and pepper. Place them in the fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook until the pork chop has reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees and is golden brown, about 10 – 13 minutes. Transfer to a plate with the green beans and serve.

Roasted Salmon with Fennel Salad

While the salmon is cooking mix the fennel, yogurt, garlic, orange juice, lemon juice, dill and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Serve alongside the salmon fillets.

Sea salt

¼ cup nonfat Caesar dressing for dipping

Zucchini Corn Fritters

Serves 4

1 fritter = 1 green light, 1 yellow light

2 medium zucchini, grated

1 cup frozen organic corn, thawed

1 large egg

3 tablespoons whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Greek yogurt dip

¼ cup Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Salt and pepper

Mix all in a small bowl and set aside.

Place the grated zucchini in a clean tea towel and squeeze the excess water out. In a large bowl combine the squeezed zucchini, corn, egg, flour, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper and mix well to combine. Line the fryer basket with parchment paper or spray with nonfat cooking oil so the fritters don’t stick. Scoop the zucchini mixture into patties and place them in the fryer basket. Cook on 360 degrees for 8 minutes, turn, spray and cook 5 minutes more until golden brown. Serve with greek yogurt dip.
