Healthy Air Fryer Recipes
Air fryers were a popular gift over the holidays so we wanted to get you started with our favorite air fryer recipes. What’s great about an air fryer is you don’t have to add any oil to achieve that crispy outer layer on meats and veggies so you can enjoy your favorite comfort foods without the added reds.
Pork Chop with Green Beans
1 open palm of pork = 1 yellow light
1 closed fist of green beans = 1 green light
8 oz bone-in center-cut pork chop
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon fresh black pepper
6 oz green beans, rinsed and trimmed
Season the pork chop and green beans with salt and pepper. Place them in the fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook until the pork chop has reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees and is golden brown, about 10 – 13 minutes. Transfer to a plate with the green beans and serve.
Roasted Salmon with Fennel Salad
1 open palm of salmon = 1 yellow light
1 closed fist of fennel salad = 1 green light, 1 yellow light
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme
½ teaspoon kosher salt
2 6-oz salmon fillets
2 cups thinly sliced fennel bulbs
½ cup nonfat Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill
Mix parsley, thyme, and salt in a small bowl. Spray the salmon fillets with nonfat cooking oil and rub with herb mixture. Place in the fryer basket, set to 350 degrees and cook for 10 minutes.
While the salmon is cooking mix the fennel, yogurt, garlic, orange juice, lemon juice, dill and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Serve alongside the salmon fillets.
Crispy Air Fryer Potato Wedges

2 medium Russet potatoes, cut into wedges
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon sea salt

In a small bowl mix the spices and rub on the potato wedges. Place potatoes in the fryer basket in a single layer (do 2 batches if necessary) and set to 400 degrees. Cook for 10 minutes, turn and cook for 5 minutes longer.
1 closed fist = 1 green light
1 thumb of dressing = 1 yellow light
½ lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and leaves separated
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Freshly ground black pepper
¼ cup nonfat Caesar dressing for dipping
Sprinkle brussels leaves with garlic powder, salt and pepper, and place in the fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 350 degrees and cook for 15 minutes tossing halfway through. Serve with caesar dressing.
Zucchini Corn Fritters
1 fritter = 1 green light, 1 yellow light
2 medium zucchini, grated
1 cup frozen organic corn, thawed
1 large egg
3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Greek yogurt dip
¼ cup Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper
Mix all in a small bowl and set aside.
Place the grated zucchini in a clean tea towel and squeeze the excess water out. In a large bowl combine the squeezed zucchini, corn, egg, flour, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper and mix well to combine. Line the fryer basket with parchment paper or spray with nonfat cooking oil so the fritters don’t stick. Scoop the zucchini mixture into patties and place them in the fryer basket. Cook on 360 degrees for 8 minutes, turn, spray and cook 5 minutes more until golden brown. Serve with greek yogurt dip.
