About the Opportunity:

Kurbo is looking for a dynamic self ­starter to join our team as our Enterprise Customer Success Manager. This person will be the primary owner of Kurbo’s relationships with employers and/or health plans across the country. You will be responsible for managing the overall relationship and becoming the trusted advisor for a portfolio of our most important accounts, while partnering with internal resources and the client to drive meaningful utilization of Kurbo services.

You will play a highly visible role in the organization while you cultivate our new business relationships and provide high-­touch client management. You will work directly with clients along a continuum from standard to highly complex, multi­faceted, integrated solutions. Your role will be to build strong relationships with the client, understand their organization and then bring and deploy various strategies and tactics to drive engagement with our product. These strategies will focus on driving employee awareness, reducing friction of accessing our product and leveraging incentives. You will work closely with the marketing department to ensure we are developing and executing the most impactful mix of programs at each client. Your primary goal is to ensure client satisfaction and increase the client’s utilization of our service. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast­-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a background that includes a combination of account management, project management, sales and marketing, and customer service.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Build and own strong relationships with B2B customers
  • Drive end­-to­-end implementation and onboarding for enterprise partners once a contract is signed
  • Serve as the main point of contact for enterprise customers, coordinating timely reporting against metrics and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Build account plan and strategy for each customer, coordinating internally with marketing, sales and product as necessary
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and increase utilization of Kurbo within existing customers
  • Partner with Executive Team to scale the team in line with growth
  • Serve as the “voice of the customer” relaying the needs and feedback of enterprise customers internally to improve our product offering
  • Work with internal Marketing partners to develop client marketing strategies and flawlessly execute unique, imaginative tactics for these critical relationships to our business

About You

  • 3 – ­ 7 years consulting or client management experience
  • Working knowledge of US healthcare system, payers, employee benefits
  • Demonstrated success building successful customer relationships
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage cross functional teams and collaboratively problem solve
  • Excellent judgement
  • Stellar communications skills
  • Able to handle juggling multiple projects at once, prioritizing and staying organized

About the Opportunity:

You will be working directly with kids and teens to provide on-going feedback, support, and motivation. You will monitor each child’s progress, help the family’s overcome obstacles and challenges they encounter with Kurbo, and provide an uplifting and positive experience for all. A background check and training are required for all coaches.

Candidates are required to have the following background:

  • Experience working with children
  • Passion for health, wellness, nutrition, and/or fitness
  • Availability in afternoon and evenings several nights a week, and possibly Saturdays, for weekly one-on-one phone consultants to support children with their weight loss goals
  • Access to a computer connected to the Internet
  • Access to a smartphone or device including Android, iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently
  • Strong time management skills

Bonus Points:

  • Background/education in teaching, psychology, counseling, social work, or similar experience
  • Demonstrated success working with children as a teacher, tutor, coach or counselor
  • Strong knowledge base of the Kurbo program principles and strategies

Purpose of Position

Kurbo is the first mobile platform to help kids, teens and families eat healthier and lose weight using their smartphone. Based on Stanford’s Pediatric Weight Control Program, Kurbo is the only system combining personalized coaching and expert advice with a mobile app for food and activity tracking to promote healthier eating and exercise habits. Kurbo is growing its presence in both the D2C and B2B markets. We are looking for a Marketing and Digital Media Intern who will spread the word about Kurbo to both individual consumers and business clients through digital and print content. This unique role will work closely with the entire Kurbo team to enhance its marketing efforts, and ultimately will lead to more children and families enrolled in the Kurbo program.

Overview

The Marketing and Digital Media Intern will ideally have a strong writing background and enthusiasm for marketing and communications. We are looking for someone who will bring creative energy to the team and is excited to work and learn at a fast-paced startup company. This internship is for the 2017 Fall Semester with opportunities to continue in the spring and summer. The Intern will work between 12 and 20 hours per week at Kurbo Headquarters in downtown Palo Alto, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Write, design and prepare Kurbo collateral and marketing materials (print, digital, video)
  • Write and edit marketing emails, campaigns and blog posts
  • Design, plan and manage partner promotions
  • Manage social media
  • Support Kurbo events
  • Analyze digital marketing campaigns and report findings
  • Provide customer support via phone

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year of undergraduate study, major in communications, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Initiative and capacity for innovative online and print collateral
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch or others)
  • General understanding of branding principles
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality, accurate content

Other Desirable Qualifications/Skills

  • Customer service experience
  • Willingness to try new things
  • Passion for helping children and teens
